The Creston Fire Department’s largest annual fundraiser is the Creston Auction & Country Fair, and will be held again this year April 1-3, 2022 in Creston, Montana. This fund-raising event directly benefits Creston’s all-volunteer Fire Department. It is the largest spring event in Montana, the Northwest and Canada and draws thousands of people from throughout the region annually. The 56th Annual Creston Auction & Country Fair will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 and the accompanying RV, Marine, Auto, Farm, Construction & Equipment Sale will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2022, in Creston, Montana located 12 miles east of Kalispell on MT Hwy 35.

Friday, April 1, 2022, 7am to 7pm, is Consignment Day. As a consignment-based event, Creston Fire Department only receives a percentage of the amount for which each item is sold. The remaining money goes to the person who brought the item to the auction, unless the consignor decides to donate the item and give the entire sale amount to the fire department. Commission rates are no more than 30%, with lower rates for higher-selling items. All commissions and proceeds go back to the community in the form of training and equipment for the fire department. All donations are tax deductible. Hot food and beverages will be available each day for purchase. Saturday and Sunday bid tickets will be sold at the Cashier windows on Friday beginning at 7am.

Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 9am the Opening Ceremony will be held and is immediately followed by kicking off of the general merchandise auction. In addition to the auction, attendees can purchase locally made art and handicrafts and find smaller items in the rummage sale. Hot food and beverages will be available for purchase all day. Saturday bid tickets are $10 and will go on sale at 7am Saturday morning at the Cashier windows.

Sunday, April 3, 2022 at 11 am the Vehicle and Equipment sale begins.

Sunday bid tickets are $10 and will go on sale at 9am Sunday morning at the Cashier windows.

All bid ticket fees go directly toward paying for 24-hour auction ground security for each of the 3 days.  Security and safety is a benefit to buyers, sellers and everyone attending the auction.

Hot and cold food items will be available for purchase Friday and at Saturday and Sunday auctions as well as non-alcoholic beverages, including water. There will be baked goods available for purchase on Saturday outside on the auction grounds near the bid ticket window.
